Superman can return home, Krypton was discovered by scientists
An astrophysicist claims discovered the genuine location of the fictitious planet on witch Superman was originally imagined.
Neil deGrasse Tyson, director of the planetarium in New York used his man powers of science to discover the place where Superman came from. According to calculations made by Tyson, Krypton is 27.1 light years from Earth in the southern constellation Corvus. The planet orbiting the red dwarf star LHS 2520 (which is smaller and cooler than the Sun).
Red stars vary in size, ranging from dwarfs to giants true. Although, the life of a super red giant would be too short to allow life to appear. additionally, these stars are too large distances from the Earth and hence their location would not fit with the story of Superman disclosed. Because, Krypton must have red dwarf orbiting a star that can have a longer life and can be located closer to Earth.
This been said, putting together all the information, Tyson chose red dwarf star as a suitable location LHS 2520.
The research was conducted in order to serve the latest edition of Action Comics Superman issue # 14 where Superman, aged 27 years, visiting Hayden Planetarium in New York, he wants to see the solar system from where he came from.
